It takes a Village Pt. 3

Is it possible to be too grateful? Or too thankful?! All I know is…that is what I feel constantly.

From one corner of this little Wildflowers world to the next…I have something, more likely, SOMEONE to be thankful for and grateful to. Someone that I feel I owe so, so much. Sometimes that person is just down the hall and sometimes that person works from her home in Lafayette. Today I want to share another handful of the amazing, one of kind women that help make all of my dreams come true. The gratitude I have for these ladies is pretty HUUUUGE.

I messaged Caitlin randomly on Facebook in January of 2017. We were throwing around the idea of starting a direct selling company and I remembered Caitlin from a photoshoot back in 2013. She was the super top seller at the time and was chosen to fly to a shoot and help me style all the pretties. We instantly connected over the cute clothes, but it was even more than that. She was so real, intelligent and articulate, with the best southern accent around. I could totally see WHY she was at the top of her game. So when we wanted to pick someone’s brain in the beginning stages of this big idea, Caitlin’s face appeared in my mind immediately! She drove to home office and after a few hours, this meet and greet became a job offer. We didn’t need a Director of Sales, we needed a CAITLIN! And the rest is history! Or history in the making… I can’t wait to see what we accomplish with this incredible leader at the helm!

Lisa is the newest gal in the family! I remember when Caitlin accepted the job, she mentioned her dear friend named Lisa who felt such a calling to be apart of Wildflowers…but the stars weren’t quite aligned…yet. One year later, with all the wonderful growth we’ve experienced, the time to get Caitlin a partner in crime was here! And Lisa was at the top of that list. Lisa flew in and met everyone in the home office, and we immediately fell for this sweet, composed, and talented woman! Her love for Wildflowers, leadership development, and sales, in general was evident immediately. Now this ambitious lady is taking care of our ‘newbies’ as we fondly call them. I know that under her leadership our new Consultants businesses are going to flourish!

Oh my sweet Caroline, our epitome of lovely Creative Direct really keeps our world spinning. What would I do without her uplifting spirit? Her undeniably thoughtful sensibilities? Working without this gal by my side is truly unimaginable to me. I don’t want to even think about it! Before I knew she existed, she knew all about me. She and her amazing mama Lynn had been reading Denise and my blog for years. And when I left my old gig, these two ladies made it a mission to find me. Little did they know, they weren’t finding me…they were saving me. I think back to when Denise passed away and when I struggled trying to find a new life for myself, a new world to hide away in, a purpose? Caroline and her beautiful family were standing there with open arms, welcoming me into their colorful world. Caroline and I were instantly thick as thieves, and seriously silly as can be together. And ever since she has been “my person” here in Austin.

Last but literally NEVER least, is my kitty, Andrea. Fierce. Fabulous. A true force of nature in a wonderful human shell. What I love most about her, other than her wickedly clever sense of humor and easy, confident demeanor, is how soft and sweet she can be with the people she loves. She’s so intentional about the people in her life, and when you become one of her ‘people’ you get to see even more of her sparkly, hilariously witty personality. Aside from all the fun we have together, this chick keeps me on my game! Ha, she keeps all of us on our game actually! She runs the social media for all of our brands, she helps Kate shoot flats, she helps me with all color commenting, and helps to coordinate all marketing efforts with Caroline. I don’t think there’s a thing here at Wildflowers that she doesn’t help with. That’s what makes her a jack of all trades, and a total jackpot of a friend, if you ask me!

How could Wildflowers be anything but great with people like this on our team? Together I think we can do pretty much anything.

Stay tuned to see the mountains we move next…including a sneak of Release 2 of Pocketful of Wonder!

XOXO,

Sam
